Built by a coach, for families
About ExceedVarsity
Real guidance. No scholarship guarantees. No recruiting gimmicks.
A word from the coach
I've spent years around football, coaching players and helping young men understand what hard work, preparation, and accountability really mean. One thing families shouldn't have to do is spend thousands of dollars just to understand how college recruiting works. ExceedVarsity was built to make that information accessible, straightforward, and useful.
Founder, ExceedVarsity. Former high school football coach and U.S. Army veteran.
Who we are, and who we aren't
We are a recruiting education resource for high school football players and their parents.
We are not a recruiting agent, a placement service, an NCAA representative, or a college coach. We don't contact college coaches on your behalf. We don't market your player to colleges. We don't get anyone recruited.
Our mission
Give families the knowledge, tools and confidence to navigate college football recruiting without paying thousands to recruiting agencies or relying on scholarship promises.
The opportunity is earned. The knowledge shouldn't cost a fortune.
No Shortcuts. No Guarantees. Just the Game Plan.
What you can count on
- No guaranteed scholarships or roster spots. Ever.
- No guarantee that any coach will contact an athlete.
- We never sell athlete information to colleges or to anyone else.
- Not affiliated with the NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA or any college.
- Transparent pricing. The guides are free. The kit is one-time, with the price and refund terms stated up front. See free vs. paid.
- We respect minors' privacy. Parents sign up and pay, and we keep player data to a minimum. See Privacy.
- Accurate guidance with official-rule references. Rules link to the NCAA, NAIA or NJCAA source with the date we checked it. If we can't source a rule, we leave it out until we can. See Recruiting Rules.
- Not an agent or a paid recruiting service. See the Disclaimer.
How we handle the facts
How we label advice
Recruiting advice gets mixed together online. Here, every tip is tagged so you know what it is.
- Official rule
- From an official NCAA, NAIA or NJCAA source. We link it and show when we checked it.
- Coach recommendation
- Our experienced-coach advice. Not a rule. Reasonable people do it differently.
- Personal strategy
- A choice that depends on your player, your family and your goals. Your call.
Rules change. Each rules page shows a "Rules last updated" date, and the official sources we checked are listed with the date. If something here is out of date, it should be corrected: email [email protected]. Always confirm details with the official source or the college's compliance office.
